In the U.S., the dimensionality of a woman directly influence its ability to find work and, more generally, his income. Recent data do not indicate in that country increased by one percentage point of fat mass results in a BMI reduction of 0.6 percent in household income. For each additional point of BMI also decreases by 0.4 per cent of the professional woman, say "the prestige" of their employment. In Italy these data do not exist . Although there are some formulas which Istat and Censis have repeatedly approached the issue in our country discrimination against fat guys at work is simply ignored by institutions and pollsters. Only a force can we believe that even in Italy, as in the U.S., employment discrimination affects women more than men. If we believe it is because other data, such as those on the distribution of obesity in the population, suggesting a social pressure to normoforma much heavier for women than for men.
In fact we know very little. In the absence of a survey on the territory, it is not possible to give reliable statistics that also would be useful to bring to light issues affecting hundreds of thousands of people. But what we can do is tell difficulties which were encountered in their professional life and career because of discrimination .
